Julie Morris, MBACP
Julie is a therapeutic counsellor based in South West London. She enables her clients to cope with areas of their life that currently create anxiety or depression, this may be caused by addiction, bereavement or struggling to connect with another person. Julie is a member of the BACP and CPCAB accredited counsellor.
Working with Julie
Julie has been supporting new parents with attachment to their babies and toddlers since 2009. In 2018 she retrained as a Psychotherapist to support those suffering with anxiety, bereavement, depression and relationship challenges. Her broad experience supporting parents has created a unique approach to counselling because Julie has been able to observe the parent/child relationship from utero. She therefore works with her clients to gain understanding into where their anxieties originated. Gaining insight to how patterns of behaviour have been learnt, releases us from past traumatic experiences. New coping skills can then be learnt to enhance enjoyment in everyday life and to value your individuality.
Counselling offers a confidential place for clients to talk freely about their difficulties in a non-judgemental environment. Receiving long term support from someone who listens to your turmoil and fears enables clients to discover ways to enrich their lives and regain some control. The death of a close member of your family or friend, even if estranged can trigger challenging thoughts, deep sadness and create physical symptoms. Together we identify the roots of anxiety and work on creating new coping skills to navigate daily life. Julie practices via zoom and from Chiropractic By Hand therapy rooms.
Julie is based in Balham, South West London and practices from Chiropractic By Hand therapy rooms. She also offers remote Zoom sessions for those across London and the UK.
Zoom sessions are £50.00 for 50 minutes. Consultations in the therapy rooms are charged at £65.00 for 50 minutes. Concessions are available for those on low or no income.
Julie believes in a holistic approach to healing both mental and physical health and in 2015 set up a local network bringing together 20 holistic practitioners. This network enhances her knowledge, makes connections and enables members to ‘knowingly’ signpost clients to other holistic practitioners. Please reach out to them, we endorse their professionalism and warmth.
